Privacy Policy
Aia + Roe is a small jewelry business based in Los Angeles, CA, United States. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated September 9, 2026
Information we collect
- Order information: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide one, and the items you buy.
- Payment information: processed directly by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Marketing information: your email address if you join our list, plus whether you open or click our emails.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring site, collected automatically when you browse.
- Messages you send us by email or through social media.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders, including returns and exchanges.
- To send order confirmations, shipping notices and service messages.
- To send marketing emails when you have asked to receive them.
- To keep the site working, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve what we offer.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the store, and only for that purpose: our ecommerce and checkout platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, and our email provider. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep your shopping bag, remember your preferences and keep checkout secure. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working.
Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for that signal to opt you out of.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet tax and accounting requirements (generally seven years). Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Technical logs are kept for a short period.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared it with.
- Request a copy of that information.
- Request that we delete it, subject to legal exceptions such as completing a transaction or keeping tax records.
- Request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to take your order.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. You will receive the same prices and service either way.
To make a request, email hello@aiaandroe.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will confirm within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time. We verify requests by matching the details you give us against our order records. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
Other US state rights
Residents of other states with privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and Oregon — have comparable rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to appeal a refused request. Use the same email address above and we will handle your request under your state's law.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and payments are handled on our provider's secure hosted checkout, so card details never reach our own systems. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
Children
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed. Questions? Email hello@aiaandroe.com or see our contact page.
